The first meeting of Stamford Town Council’s Climate Action Group took place on Wednesday 26th February and was attended by a wide cross-section of concerned Stamford residents and business representatives, as well as the Mayor, town, district and county councillors.
There was a lively and thought-provoking discussion of the many ways in which we as a community can manage and reduce our carbon footprint.
The group will be meeting every month and implementing as many initiatives as possible that support the objective of the group to reduce Stamford’s carbon footprint.
In order to engage with the community, there is now a survey available on line HERE Or via the Town Hall, where residents can have their say about what they think the priorities should be.
At the Annual Town Meeting on Monday 16th March at 7:00 pm, there will be an opportunity for residents to speak on this issue and find out more details about what the Climate Action Group hopes to achieve.
