Stamford was twinned with Vence in the south of France in 1978, and the town of Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic in 1999.

The small town of Vence is set in the hills of the Alpes Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in south-eastern France between Nice and Antibes.

Kutná Hora is a picturesque town situated in Central Bohemia, which is part of the Czech Republic.

Stamford residents and their families visit the two towns regularly, and many tourists from the twin towns regularly visit Stamford.

Hostomel, Ukraine

The official signing of the Twinning Oath between Hostomel, Ukraine, and Stamford was celebrated before the full Town Council meeting on Tuesday April 29th, 2025.

The signed twinning documents were delivered by Ukrainian filmmaker Natalia Yakovleva, and a special signing ceremony was held with Twinning Working Group Councillors.
