The Finance Committee oversees matters relating to Town Council finances, assets, personnel, grants and donations. The Finance Committee usually meets monthly and its remit covers the overseeing of:
- Financial Governance – Overall Council Budget, Precept, Internal Financial controls & regulations, Internal and External Audit, Appropriate Insurance & Liability cover.
- Personnel – Recruitment of all staff, Appraisals of all staff, Staff wages & conditions, Complaints & Grievances
- Assets Register – Maintenance schedule, Oversee any agreements or contracts for the use of any asset and Valuations
- Working Groups – Friends of Stamford Recreation Ground and Skate Park.
