In line with Government Guidelines, with immediate effect ALL meetings have been suspended by Stamford Town Council for the safety of Members and Officers. The Town Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.
It is greatly appreciated that, for many, this is an anxious time. Please call the Evergreen Trust on 01780 765900, who will try and offer as much support as can be given. This is a fast moving situation and further updates will be provided.

Welcome to the Stamford Town Council Website

Stamford Town Council was formerly a Borough Council, prior to the local government reorganisation in 1974. Although called a Town Council, its responsibilities and powers are the same as any Parish Council, with certain civic duties that it is required to undertake within its parish boundary. Responsibilities include the management of the cemetery, the town’s allotments, the Recreation Ground and the town Meadows. In addition, the councillors are appointed as trustees of the Harry Skells Estate Trust and administer the funds available from the Trust.

South Kesteven District Council is responsible for activities such as waste collection, recycling, planning and environmental health, licences, litter bins, markets, parking permits, public toilets, street cleaning, and tree preservation.

Lincolnshire County Council responsibilities include: Adult social Care, Children's Services, Education, Highways, Street Lighting, Libraries, Trading Standards, Fire & Rescue, Registration and Celebratory Services.
