The 2021 Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration will be a pre-recorded event broadcast on Facebook and YouTube, and will be available to watch via a link on this page from 11am on Wednesday 27 January.
There will be an opening address by the Deputy Mayor of Stamford, Councillor Gloria Johnson, followed by the Laying of Daffodils. Kaddish will be read by Graham Berkman and another prayer will be read by Rev Andy Fyall, on behalf of Churches Together in Stamford. There will be a 2-minute silence, preceded by the bugle playing of the Last Post and followed by Reveille.
Once again, there will be a poetry reading by Rob Elks, Stamford’s very own Poet Laureate - Some of you may remember the poignant and very moving poetry from last year's event.
Schools and Colleges in Stamford have submitted artwork, writings and creative pieces that will also be showcased in the video.
